SHE WAS BORN IN OLDENBURG, GERMANY, IN 1797. BY 1824 SHE WAS MARRIED AND THE HER AND HER HUSBAND, GEORGE AUGUST BERMAN, HAD TWO FOUR DAUGHTERS AND THREE SONS.
THEY MOVED TO GALVESTON IN 1843, WHERE GEORGE WAS ONE OF THE CITY'S EARLIEST PHARMACISTS.
1627 WAS THEIR ORIGINAL HOME, WHICH HAS SINCE BEEN DEMOLISHED.
AND THEN THIS COTTAGE NEXT DOOR WAS USED AS A RENTAL PROPERTY.
IN 1912, THE BERMAN DESCENDANTS SOLD THE PROPERTIES TO SEE HARPER ANDERSON, WHO DEMOLISHED THE OLDER HOUSE AT 1627, BUILT HIS PERSONAL RESIDENCE, WHICH STILL STANDS.
HE SOLD THE NEXT DOOR COTTAGE TO WIDOWED ATTORNEY ROBERT G.
STREET OF ALABAMA, WHO WAS ALSO THE 56TH DISTRICT COURT OF GALVESTON COUNTY JUDGE.
IT FEATURES THREE BAYS ACROSS THE PORCH, WITH A SIDE GABLE ROOF AND INSET GABLE FACING FORWARD.

HOWEVER IT'S BECOME INCREASINGLY DIFFICULT TO NOMINATE ANYTHING AT THE STATE LEVEL UNLESS YOU HAVE CORROBORATING EVIDENCE THAT'S BEEN PUBLISHED IN AN ACADEMIC JOURNAL OR A BOOK OR SOMETHING LIKE THAT TO CORROBORATE THE CLAIM.
