THE HOUSE WAS OWNED BY SEVERAL FAMILIES AFTER THE ORIGINAL OWNERS.
EACH OF THE INDIVIDUALS PLAYED A ROLE IN SHAPING GALVESTON'S DIVERSE AND WORKING CLASS HISTORY, CONTRIBUTING TO COMMERCE, LABOR, AND COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT.
THE HOUSE HAS BEEN MODIFIED SINCE ITS ORIGINAL CONSTRUCTION IN 1884.
IT UNDERWENT A UNDERWENT A COMPLETE REMODEL IN 1926 WHEN OWNED BY THE ROMANO FAMILY.
THAT CHANGED THE STYLE OF THE HOUSE FROM VICTORIAN TO MORE COLONIAL REVIVAL.
WHILE THE HOUSE HAS BEEN MODIFIED, THE DESIGN STANDARDS RECOGNIZE THE CHANGES THAT HAVE HAPPENED THROUGH TIME, HAVE THEIR OWN SIGNIFICANCE. THE HOUSE HAS BEEN IN ITS CURRENT APPEARANCE FOR 99 YEARS.
