THIS PRODUCT THAT WE FOUND IS THE ONLY ONE THAT SAYS IT'S WATERPROOF. AND THEY DO HAVE A SUGGESTION ON HOW TO FURTHER WATERPROOF UNDERNEATH IT'S JUST A MEMBRANE THAT GOES IN BETWEEN THE FLOOR JOISTS. SO IT WOULDN'T REQUIRE LIKE ANOTHER LAYER OF PLYWOOD UNDERNEATH. SO WE FIGURED THIS WAS THE BEST OPTION THAT DOESN'T REQUIRE LIKE AN INTERIOR GUTTER SYSTEM THAT DIDN'T HAVE TO HAVE A DOWN DOWNSPOUT FOR THIS, THE LESS INVASIVE OF THE POSSIBILITIES. ANYTHING YOU'D LIKE TO SAY? NO, NO. WE WANTED TO KEEP ORIGINAL WOOD, BUT THIS IS A LOT LESS INVASIVE THAN REDOING THE ENTIRE FRONT AND RAISING WINDOWS OR HAVING WINDOWS COVERED AND STUFF. IN THE 1915, THEY MADE IT GREEK REVIVAL AND THEY CREDITED THAT LOWER BOX. IT'S JUST A BIG HOLLOW SPOT AND THE WATER IS JUST HOLDING IN THERE. YEAH. ON A PERSONAL NOTE, I HAD A SIMILAR SITUATION WITH MY HOME, BUT MY HOME FACES THE NORTH. I THOUGHT IT MAY HAVE BEEN JUST A NORTHERN EXPOSURE.
