FIRST, THE DRAWINGS APPEAR TO SHOW A SOLID WOOD PLANK STYLE HANDRAIL, WHICH IS NOT ACCEPTABLE AS A DESIGN CHOICE, AN OPEN WOOD PICKET, AND A TYPICAL SIMPLE SQUARE DESIGN, AS SHOWN IN EXHIBIT B OF THE STAFF REPORT IS MORE APPROPRIATE FOR NEW CONSTRUCTION.
AND AGAIN THE SOLID BOARD SKIRTING IS NOT IS NOT APPROPRIATE.
A LATTICE TO MATCH THE EXISTING HOUSE WOULD BE MORE ACCEPTABLE PER THE DESIGN STANDARDS.
SO STAFF RECOMMENDS APPROVAL OF THE REQUEST SUBJECT TO THE FOLLOWING CONDITIONS.
