HE WAS IN GAUGE WITH THE CITY OF GALVESTON IN MANY DIFFERENT WAYS AND HE WILL BE MISSED.

SORRY TO HEAR ABOUT BERRY AND HIS PASSING, BUT HE IS SOMETHING THAT REPRESENTED WOULD ALL GATHER ESTONIANS REPRESENT.

HE WAS INVOLVED WITH THE CITY AND DID A LOT TO HELP IMPROVE THE CITY.

OUR MISSION CONTINUES TO BE TO PROMOTE THE PHYSICAL, ACADEMIC, PSYCHOSOCIAL, AND CARROT DEVELOPMENT OF ALL FAMILIES, CHILDREN AND YOUTH IN CITY OF GALVESTON.

WE ACTUALLY JUST CELEBRATED OUR 20TH ANNIVERSARY THIS PAST NOVEMBER, MAY 20 YEARS SINCE OUR BOARD WAS FOUNDED. THANK YOU.

I'M GOING TO BE GOING REALLY FAST. ANYWAY, YES.

SUMMARY. WE HAVE 23 SLOTS ON OUR BOARD.

SOME OF THEM ARE VACANT.

THAT INCLUDES EX OFFICIAL MEMBER WILLIAM SCHUSTER, BARBARA SANDERSON, AND OUR EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE, IN ADDITION TO MYSELF AS CHAIR, INCLUDES KAREN STANLEY, VICE CHAIR, AS JENNIFER HART, SECRETARY NOMINATED, CHERISHING NICE BLAIR AND OUR TASK FORCE CHAIRS, WHICH I WILL BE SPEAKING ABOUT AS WE GO THROUGH.

[INAUDIBLE] OUR MAIN FOCUS THIS YEAR HAS BEEN IN TRYING TO REGROUP AND REVITALIZE OUR TASK FORCES.

THAT'S THE BULK OF MY REPORT TODAY.

WE WILL BE ZIPPING THROUGH HERE MOSTLY SUMMARIZING.

I HOPE YOU WILL LOOK AT THIS IN DETAIL LATER.

OUR FIRST ONE IS THE HEALTH TASK FORCE, WHICH WAS LED BY DR. BETH ICELANDER THIS YEAR THROUGH MARCH, AND THEN BY RUTH CHI UNTIL THIS MONTH.

THEY HAD ITS GOAL SO IDENTIFYING AGREE UPON TWO PROJECTS AFFECTING GALVESTON YOUTH AND FAMILIES, ESPECIALLY A HEALTH-RELATED ONE.

THEY ORGANIZED THIS YEAR AND PARTICIPATED IN THE INTERNATIONAL ADOLESCENT HEALTH WEEK, PROVIDED MENTAL HEALTH AND SCHOOL SUPPORT AND IDENTIFIED COMMUNITY HEALTH PARTNERS AND THEIR GOALS FOR THE UPCOMING YEAR ARE TO JUST SOLIDIFY EACH OF THOSE GOALS.

YOU WILL HEAR ME MENTIONING WITH EACH OF THE TASK FORCES, THEIR PLAN TO HELP SUPPORT THE PROPOSED CITY YOUTH COUNCIL.

THEIR EMPHASIS WOULD BE FOCUSING ON ANY HEALTH PROGRAMS THAT WOULD BE ALIGNED WITH THAT.

OUR NEXT TASK FORCE IS THE CITY INFRASTRUCTURE TASK FORCE, AND IT IS LED BY KATHY TYRANNY.

THIS YEAR THEY ACCOMPLISHED WORK ON EIGHT GOALS.

THE FIRST FOUR GOALS CENTERED ON OUR CITY PARKS.

THE MEMBERS, ESPECIALLY FOCUSING ON THESE AREAS WERE CATHY TERANOL, LIZ MURPHY AND [INAUDIBLE] SARAH SPENCE.

MAIN COLLABORATORS WERE BARBARA SANDERSON AND HER STAFF, AS WELL AS DR. PETROSKI AT UT&B AND HIS STUDENTS.

FIVE PARKS WERE THOROUGHLY INVENTORIED AND THE PLAN IS TO COMPLETE SURVEYS OF ALL 11 PARKS THIS COMING YEAR.

SPECIAL FOCUS WAS ENGAGING THE JONES PARK NEIGHBORS AND DISCUSSIONS WERE HELD WITH REPRESENTATIVES FROM VISION GALVESTON, GISD ADMINISTRATORS OF WISE AND BURNETT.

AT PARKER WAS A SPECIAL EMPHASIS WHERE ADMINISTRATORS, TEACHERS, STUDENTS, AND THE COMMUNITY WERE ENGAGED.

A COMMUNITY EVENT WAS HELD IN CONJUNCTION WITH BETTER PARKS FOR GALVESTON AND THEY'RE HOPING TO CONTINUE THAT COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT AND THE NEXT YEAR.

EXCUSE ME, THE NEXT AREA OF FOCUS FOR THIS SAME CITY INFRASTRUCTURE TASK FORCE WAS BROADBAND AND ITS AVAILABILITY.

THIS WAS HEADED UP BY MARSHA RAPPAPORT.

SHE HAS DONE EXTENSIVE RESEARCH ON A SPECIFIC NEED AND GALVESTON, INCLUDING INPUT FROM THE GULF COAST HOMELESS COALITION AND HAS ALSO COLLABORATED WITH MIKE MILLER OF THE ROSENBERG LIBRARY, WHO I'M EXCITED TO SAY HAS SECURED ONE YEAR OF INTERNET SERVICE, A CHROMEBOOK, AND A HOTSPOT FOR 1500 NEEDING FAMILIES.

THEY ARE CONTINUING OF COURSE TO LOOK AT FURTHER FUNDING SINCE THIS IS ONE YEAR AND WE MAY BE COMING BACK TO YOU SINCE SOME OF THE FUNDING THAT SHE HAS FOUND MUST ACCOMPANY WITH CITY GOVERNMENTS, SO TO SEE IF YOU ALLISON.

THE NEXT COUPLE OF GOALS REFER TO EXPLORING OPPORTUNITIES FOR SPORTS LEAGUES AND WITH RECOMMENDATIONS TO INCREASE THE COMMUNICATION AND ADVERTISEMENT OF THE EXISTING BASKETBALL LEAGUES THAT ARE ALREADY IN PLACE, SUCH AS AT MOODY CHURCH, CUNY RECREATION CENTER IN TEXAS, ACE, AND GISD.

FINALLY, THE CITY INFRASTRUCTURE TASK FORCE, LIKE THE OTHERS I'VE MENTIONED, IS FOCUSING ON THE PROPOSED CITY YOUTH COUNCIL WITH HOPES TO HOST A COMMUNITY WORKSHOP TO BRING POTENTIAL PARTNERS TOGETHER, SUCH AS FROM GISD, GAUSSIAN COLLEGE, CITY STAFF AND OTHER INTERESTED IN LOCAL LEADERS AND HOPEFULLY WITH WILLIAM SCHUSTER'S HELP, WE'LL BE BRINGING THAT TO YOU SOON.

THE NEXT SLIDES COVER JUST SOME AGENDA TO THAT GENERAL REPORT AND IF WE KEEP GOING,

THERE'S A CHART FROM THE JONES PARK INITIATIVE AND IF WE KEEP GOING, GOT A LOVELY PICTURE, IF YOU'VE GOT BACKUP, JUST ONE LOVELY PHOTO THAT THEY TURNED INTO ME OF THEIR TASK FORCE.

THEN WE'LL GO ON TO THE NEXT ONE.

WE HAVE THE YOUTH EMPOWERMENT TASK FORCE, WHICH WAS LED BY BRANDON WILLIAMS. THEIR GOAL HAD BEEN THIS YEAR TO HOLD A DISTRICT-WIDE YOUTH SYMPOSIUM WHERE STUDENTS FROM GISD COULD COME AND LISTEN TO LOCAL LEADERS AND NATIONAL SPEAKERS AND GET ADVICE ON TOPICS IMPORTANT TO THEM AS WELL AS MEETING OTHER COMMUNITY ORGANIZATIONS FOCUSED ON HELPING YOUTH.

UNFORTUNATELY, THIS SYMPOSIUM WAS NOT HELD DUE TO COVID RESTRICTIONS AND OTHER EXTERNAL FACTORS INCLUDING STAFF SICKNESS, SO THEIR PRIMARY GOAL THIS YEAR IS ALSO TO SUPPORT AND HELP THE DEVELOPMENT OF THE PROPOSED CITY YOUTH COUNCIL.

LAST BUT CERTAINLY NOT LEAST, THE EDUCATION TASK FORCE, WHICH IS LED BY SUE JOHNSON.

THEIR DESIRE IS TO WORK WITH COMMUNITY LEADERSHIP TO GARNER COMMITMENT AND PUBLIC WILL TO MAKE EARLY CHILDHOOD A PRIORITY.

YOU'LL HEAR THAT MENTIONED A LOT.

THIS YEAR THEY MET AND COLLABORATED WITH EDUCATION-FOCUSED ORGANIZATIONS TO IDENTIFY ISSUES AND SO FORTH.

SHARED RESEARCH ON THE STATE OF EDUCATION IN GALVESTON, PARTICULARLY AS IT RELATES TO EARLY CHILDHOOD.

YOU MAY RECALL GIVING A PROCLAMATION FOR THE THOUSAND BOOKS BEFORE KINDERGARTEN.

THAT HAS BEEN ANOTHER FOCUS.

THEY MET WITH BETTER PARKS FOR GALVESTON TO REQUEST SUPPORT FOR BORN LEARNING TRAILS, WHICH YOU'LL HAVE A PICTURE OF IN JUST A MOMENT, AND VISITED THE JUNETEENTH LEGACY PROJECT TO SEE ITS OFFERINGS AND LEARN HOW IT CAN BE USED FOR EDUCATIONAL FIELD TRIP OPPORTUNITIES.

THEY'RE HOPING THEY SHOULD'VE CONTINUED THAT PARTICULARLY WORKING WITH CURRENTLY EXISTING PROGRAMS SUCH AS SMART FAMILY LITERACY AND THEN LOOKING AT NEW POSSIBILITIES SUCH AS THE BORN LEARNING TRAILS FOR YOUNGEST ONES.

THE CITY OF GALVESTON RECEIVES AN ANNUAL ALLOCATION OF FUNDING FROM THE US DEPARTMENT OF HOUSING AND URBAN DEVELOPMENT FOR TWO PROGRAMS: THE COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT, WHICH WAS THE CDBG PROGRAM, AND THE HOME INVESTMENT PARTNERSHIPS, WHICH IS THE HOME PROGRAM.

AS STATED, OUR 2022 ALLOCATIONS FOR CDBG IS $1,085,813.

THAT IS A DECREASE THIS YEAR FROM OUR 2021 PROGRAM YEAR OF $97,997.

THE HOME PROGRAM WILL RECEIVE $272,269 A SHARE AND HOME IS ACTUALLY AN INCREASE, SO WE ARE RECEIVING $25,564 MORE THIS YEAR.

WE'VE ALSO ESTIMATED THAT PROGRAM INCOME RECEIPTS FOR 2022 PROGRAM YEAR AT 20,000 FOR CDBG AND HOME FOR 30,000.

WE'RE REQUESTING TODAY THAT YOU APPROVE OUR 2022 PROGRAM, YOUR OBJECTIVES AND PROJECTS AS WE HAVE SUBMITTED AND THOSE ARE TO MEET THESE ALLOCATIONS.

THEY MEET THE REGULATORY REQUIREMENTS, OUR HIGH PRIORITY NEEDS THAT ARE ESTABLISHED IN OUR FIVE-YEAR CONSOLIDATED PLAN.

THEN THAT WILL ALLOW OUR STAFF TO SUBMIT OUR HUD APPLICATION FOR THE ANNUAL FUNDING AMOUNT.

STAFF HAS CONDUCTED THE CITIZEN PARTICIPATION PROCESS AS REQUIRED ON OUR PROGRAMS AND OBJECTIVES AND WE HAVE RECEIVED NO COMMENTS.

WE'RE ALSO CONDUCTING A PUBLIC HEARING TODAY FOR OUR 2022 PROGRAM YEAR OBJECTIVES AND PROJECTS TO ALLOW ANY CITIZENS THAT WANT TO COME FORTH AND MAKE COMMENTS.

WE APPRECIATE YOUR SUPPORT ON THESE PROGRAMS. IF THERE ARE ANY QUESTIONS, I WOULD BE HAPPY TO ADDRESS THOSE.

MOST OF THE PROPERTIES WITHIN THERE ARE HIGH TAX DOLLAR PROPERTIES, AND WE ARE TOTALLY AGAINST THE REZONING REQUEST.

THE BOARD HAS VOTED UNANIMOUSLY AGAINST IT AND WHILE EVERYBODY HAS MENTIONED THAT IT WAS ALL PART OF A SIGN ISSUE AND A FIVE PERCENT INCREASE IN THE SIGN SIZE.

THAT ISSUE WAS SOLVED AND CENTERPOINT AGREED TO THE VARIANCE SO WE ARE ALL CONCERNED.

I THOUGHT IF WE COULD GET THE SIGN, WHICH IS ACTUALLY AN URBAN NEIGHBORHOOD-SIZED SIGN.

BECAUSE THOUGH OUR CURRENT SIGN MAY BE ABLE TO BE SEEING FROM CERTAIN ASPECTS,

THEN AFTER THAT, FOUND OUT THAT ON THE POSSIBILITY AND I'M NOT SURE OF ALL THE DETAILS ON IT OF A CATASTROPHIC EVENT THAT WIPE THE CHURCH OUT, SUCH AS A HURRICANE OR A NATURAL DISASTER, WE WOULD BE UNABLE TO REBUILD BECAUSE IT'S RESIDENTIAL.

WE'D BEEN THERE FOR BETWEEN 50, 55 YEARS, AS LONG OR LONGER THAN ANY OF THE SURROUNDING NEIGHBORHOODS.

WE PLAN ON BEING THERE FOR THE NEXT 50 YEARS, I HOPE.

THE FRONT PARKING LOT IS ACTUALLY A COUNTY EASEMENT, AND IT'S A COUNTY EASEMENT THAT IS THERE.

SO IF THE COUNTY EVER DECIDES TO EXPAND STEWART ROAD, THAT'S ACTUALLY A COUNTY EASEMENT.

THOUGH I KNOW I WILL UPSET MANY OF MY NEIGHBORS AND FRIENDS, I KNOW THERE IS NO ALTERNATIVE MOTION BEHIND THIS.

I THINK THESE FACTORS, COUPLED WITH THE INCREASE OF PRESENCE OF DRUNKEN INTOXICATED INDIVIDUALS, WOULD HAVE A SIGNIFICANT IMPACT ON RESIDENTS DEGRADING THE COMFORT,

BUT ALSO VERY IMPORTANTLY, THIS PROPOSED BUSINESS IS LOCATED ONE BLOCK FROM THE PROPERTY LINE OF CENTRAL MIDDLE-SCHOOL, SO CHILDREN WALKING TO OR FROM SCHOOL ACTIVITIES ARE NOW VULNERABLE TO INTOXICATED DRIVERS.

THEY WOULD BE EXPOSED TO ALCOHOL, MORE LIKELY TO ENCOUNTER VIOLENCE AND OTHERWISE INAPPROPRIATE BEHAVIORS AND OR SOLICITATIONS.

FURTHERMORE, I WOULD ADD THAT THIS BUSINESS CENTER HAS A HISTORY OF NON-COMPLIANCE WITH CITY ORDINANCES AND THE MANAGEMENT OF A SEXUALLY ORIENTED BUSINESS THAT WAS OPERATED OUT OF OUR NEIGHBORHOOD.

THERE'S A 20-FOOT DIFFERENCE BETWEEN OUR FENCES ACROSS THE ALLEY.

IT IS APPROXIMATELY 75 FEET BETWEEN MY DECK AND THE BACK OF THAT BUILDING, AND FROM THE UPSTAIRS WINDOW, THIS IS MY BACKYARD.

THE GRANT APPLICATION DID NOT INCLUDE AN ACQUISITION OF ADDITIONAL PROPERTY TO COMPLETE THE PROJECT, WHICH IS ALSO IN YOUR STAFF REPORTS.

NOW THE CITY IS ASKING COUNCIL TO APPROVE THE USE OF EMINENT DOMAIN POWERS TO COMPLETE THE PROJECT.

LAST MEETING, THE ENGINEERING CONTRACT WAS AWARDED SO AFTER THE FACT, THE CITY IS NOW ASKING COUNCIL TO APPROVE EMINENT DOMAIN POWERS.

THE CITY HAS A TENDENCY TO UNDERESTIMATE THE SCOPE AND COST OF THESE PROJECTS AND AFTER THE FACT, INCREASE THE SCOPE AND INCREASE THE AMOUNT OF SPENDING AND BURDEN ON US TAXPAYERS.

THIS IS EXTREMELY INAPPROPRIATE AND IS NOTHING SHORT OF AN ABUSIVE POWER AND A BAIT AND SWITCH TACTIC.

WHEN THE DESIGN CONCEPT WAS PRESENTED TO THE PUBLIC FOR COMMENTS THERE WAS NO MENTION OF ACQUISITION OR USE OF EMINENT DOMAIN TO COMPLETE THIS PROJECT.

WHEN THE GLO WAS REVIEWING THE GRANT APPLICATION, IT WAS PROBABLY MORE ATTRACTIVE OF A PROJECT TO APPROVE BASED ON THE FACT THAT IT DID NOT REQUIRE ACQUISITION OF PRIVATE PROPERTY AND THE USE OF EMINENT DOMAIN.

YOU CAN'T USE THE GRANT FUNDING TO ACQUIRE PROPERTY OR USE EMINENT DOMAIN SO YOU'LL BE USING CITY FUNDS, TAX DOLLARS, WHATEVER YOU GUYS WANT TO CALL THEM, AND IT'S A BURDEN ON THE TAXPAYER.

IT'S REALLY HARD TO BELIEVE THAT THE REAL PURPOSE FOR FINDING THESE ALTERNATIVE REVENUES ARE NOT TO ACQUIRE PEOPLE'S PRIVATE PROPERTY AFTER THE FACT.

IN SIMPLE TERMS, THE CITY MADE CERTAIN MISREPRESENTATIONS TO THE PUBLIC AND TO THE FUNDING ENTITY, THE GLO, KNOWING THAT THE CITY WAS GOING TO BURDEN TAXPAYERS WITH ADDITIONAL EXPENSES AND TAKE PRIVATE PROPERTY IN THE PROCESS.

MY CITY COUNCIL REPRESENTATIVE APPARENTLY SUPPORTS THIS PROJECT, BUT I'M CALLING ON COUNCIL TO NOT APPROVE 11U AS IT SUPPORTS THE TAKING OF PRIVATE PROPERTY, THE MISREPRESENTATIONS TO THE PUBLIC, AND FUNDING ENTITIES LIKE THE GLO AND PUTS BURDENS ON TAXPAYERS USING THEIR DOLLARS TO HURT RESIDENTS.

THIS IS ALL A SLIPPERY SLOPE AND I'M GOING TO BE WATCHING WHO VOTES ON THIS ITEM BECAUSE AFTER THE FACT, THEY SEND THE APPLICATION AND RECEIVE THE MONEY.

THE DEFENDANT WAS ARRESTED ON JULY 10TH ON A WARRANT FOR ASSAULT CAUSING BODILY INJURY.

HE WAS RELEASED AFTER 24 DAYS IN JAIL WITH NO PROBATION OR OTHER CONSEQUENCES.

I NOW NEED HELP TO LOCATE WHO IS AT THE TOP OF THE DISTRICT ATTORNEY'S OFFICE AND WHO IS RESPONSIBLE TO TRANSFER POLICE AND DETECTIVE EVIDENCE TO THE DA'S OFFICE FOR PROSECUTION BECAUSE I SPOKE TODAY WITH DA EMILY O'BRIEN, WHO WAS OVER MY CASE TO FIND OUT THE REASON I, THE VICTIM, WAS NEVER CONTACTED BY THE DA'S OFFICE AND IT WAS BECAUSE SHE SAID THAT SOMEBODY INCORRECTLY DOCUMENTED SOMEBODY ELSE'S THE VICTIM AND NOT ME.

THAT'S WHY I WAS NEVER CONTACTED.

DA EMILY O'BRIEN STATED THAT SHE READ OF THE VIDEO FROM THE BUS SHOWING I WAS ASSAULTED BUT DIDN'T LOOK AT THE VIDEO.

SHE SAID IT WOULD HAVE SET THE DEFENDANT UP FOR FAILURE TO GIVE HIM PROBATION AS HE WAS ANTIGEN AND COULDN'T PAY PROBATION FEES.

I STATED THAT IT'S WORSE NOW BECAUSE I NEVER REALLY GOT MY.

I ALSO NEED HELP TO TALK TO THE CITY BUS MANAGEMENT TO BAN THE DEFENDANT FROM THE CITY BUS SO THAT MYSELF AND OTHERS ARE NOT AT RISK FOR ANOTHER ASSAULT.

THE WAY I WAS TREATED THROUGH THIS PROCESS MADE ME FEEL VICTIMIZED AGAIN AS THE DEFENDANT THREATENED TO BREAK MY JAW AND HIT ME IN THE ARM.

HE DID HIT ME IN THE ARM WHILE SUFFERING MINIMAL REAL CONSEQUENCES FOR THE CHARGE OF THE ASSAULT CAUSING BODILY INJURY, AND RECEIVE NO MENTAL HEALTH TREATMENT THAT COULD HAVE BEEN OFFERED BY THE COURTS TO PROTECT GALVESTON RESIDENTS.

IN 2014, DR. BROWN PROBABLY REMEMBERS HE WAS A TRUSTEE, I WAS NOTIFIED BY THE PARK BOARD THAT SOME OF THE AREAS THAT I HAD AGREEMENTS WITH THE PARK BOARD WERE ACTUALLY IN FACT PRIVATE BEACHES, ONE OF WHICH WAS PORRETTO BEACH, ONE OF WHICH WAS OWNED BY THE MACE USE.

AT THAT TIME, THE PARK BOARD ASKED ME TO STEP OFF OF THOSE AREAS BECAUSE THEY WERE PRIVATE BEACHES THEY WANTED TO AVOID, I ASSUME LITIGATION.

THEY WERE VERY APOLOGETIC.

THEY TRIED TO BE AS ACCOMMODATING AS POSSIBLE.

THAT DAY I LOST TWO-THIRDS OF MY BUSINESS.

I NEVER GAINED IT BACK.

WE MOVE FORWARD TO 2022 JUNE, I WAS APPROACHED BY A PRIVATE LANDOWNER WHO OWNS PROPERTY ON 85TH STREET.

HE SPOKE HERE TODAY.

HE ASKED ME IF I'D BE INTERESTED IN GOING INTO BUSINESS WITH HIM.

I TOLD HIM I WANTED TO THINK ABOUT IT.

I HOSTED SEVERAL MEETINGS OF CITIZENS AT MY HOUSE AND WE DEVELOPED A MARKETING PLAN TO ADVERTISE ON THE VEHICLES.

I THEN LEAD THE RESOLUTION THROUGH CITY COUNCIL.

FLASH FORWARD TO A FEW MONTHS AGO WHEN THE TROLLEYS WERE RETURNED TO SERVICE, WE WERE INVITED BY DAVID COLLINS AND CRAIG BROWN TO JOIN THE CEREMONY.

MY CITY COUNCIL WAS RECOGNIZED FOR THIS ACHIEVEMENT.

MY FAMILY WAS PRESENT AND WE ENJOYED SOME OF THE FIRST RIDES ON THE TROLLEY.

THIS WAS A HAPPY DAY FOR ME.

TODAY, I'M HERE ON BEHALF OF MY CITY COUNCIL, WHICH SERVED FROM 2014-2016.

OUR CITY COUNCIL APPROVED THE SPENDING OF THE FEDERAL MONIES OF $38 MILLION FOR 20 PROJECTS AND GALVESTON, AND WE DIRECTED THE CITY MANAGER TO GET IT DONE.

MAYBE WHERE SOME OF THE CONFUSION LIES IS AS PART OF THE UNIFORM RELOCATION ACT, BEFORE YOU ENTER INTO NEGOTIATIONS FOR AN EASEMENT OR WHAT HAVE YOU WITH THE PROPERTY OWNER, YOU HAVE TO MAKE A DECISION AT THAT POINT SAYING, WE'RE GOING TO ENTER THESE NEGOTIATIONS.

AT THE BEGINNING OF THE PANDEMIC THE GOVERNOR ISSUED AN ORDER THAT ALLOWED CITY COUNCIL TO CONDUCT THEIR MEETINGS VIRTUALLY WHICH ALSO ALLOWED STAFF AND THE PUBLIC TO ATTEND VIRTUALLY USING ZOOM.

IN SEPTEMBER OF 2021 THE GOVERNOR'S ORDER EXPIRED WHICH REQUIRED COUNCIL TO RESUME TO IN-PERSON MEETINGS.

WE'VE CONTINUED OFFERING THE ZOOM OPTION TO THE PUBLIC AS AN ADDITIONAL WAY TO ATTEND THE MEETINGS.

HOWEVER, ATTENDANCE ON ZOOM HAS BEEN EXTREMELY LOW FOR THE PAST SEVERAL MONTHS AND ATTENDEES ON THE ZOOM CALL RARELY MAKE A PUBLIC COMMENT DURING THE REGULAR MEETING.

ZOOM ATTENDEES CAN JUST AS EASILY WATCH THE LIVESTREAM MEETINGS ON THE CITY'S WEBSITE EITHER ON THEIR COMPUTER OR ON THEIR MOBILE DEVICE AND THEY CAN ALSO WATCH ON FACEBOOK LIVE OR ON CABLE CHANNEL 16.

MEMBERS OF THE PUBLIC CAN STILL SUBMIT WRITTEN PUBLIC COMMENTS OR THEY CAN ATTEND THE MEETINGS TO MAKE A COMMENT IN PERSON.
