SO I THINK WE'RE ALL FANS OF RECLAIMED WHERE WE CAN GET IT NEW IS STILL GREAT, BUT CEMENTITIOUS HAS A LOT, A LOT OF BENEFITS. IT'S PHENOMENAL. IT'S GREAT. BUT ON THESE OLD HISTORIC STRUCTURES, PARTICULARLY WHEN WE ARE BUTTING THESE PRODUCTS UP AGAINST WOODEN JAMS, YOU KNOW, INSIDE FRAMING STRUCTURES. I'VE HEARD THAT THEY CAN RETAIN MOISTURE LONGER THAN WHAT THE WOOD HAVE AND COULD ENCOURAGE ROT. DO YOU KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT THAT? YEAH, AND THAT'S REALLY NOT AS MUCH TO DO WITH THE SIDING IS MORE ABOUT UNDERSTANDING HOW A WALL DRAINS. SO WHEN WOOD SIDING GETS WET, IT SWELLS. BUT THEN AS IT DRIES, IT SHRINKS AND IT BUILDS A GAP UP BETWEEN THE WALL, WHICH IS THE DRAINAGE PLANE IN THE FRONT THE SIDING, WHICH ALLOWS FOR DRAINAGE. CEMENTITIOUS SIDING DOES NOT DRAIN. IN ORDER TO INSTALL SOME CEMENTITIOUS SIDING PROPERLY, IT HAS TO BE ON TOP OF A DRAINAGE PLANE, SO YOU HAVE TO DEVELOP WHAT'S CALLED A CAPILLARY BREAK, WHICH IS A ONE EIGHTH INCH GAP. WITHOUT THAT, IT WILL JUST SIT THERE AND DRENCH YOUR WALL. OK, OK. AND THEN I HAD ONE OTHER QUESTION WHEN WE TALK ABOUT THESE BALLOON FRAME STRUCTURES, WHICH A MAJORITY OF THE HOUSES IN HISTORIC DISTRICTS ARE BALLOON STRUCTURES. SO YOU HAD YOUR VERTICAL LIKE YOUR KING STUDS AND YOUR STUDS AND YOUR CELLS, AND YOU HAD YOUR DIAGONAL BRACING. BUT THE WOOD SIDING WAS ACTUALLY PART OF THE ENGINEERING STRUCTURE OF THAT FRAME.
