I [OVERLAPPING] WOULD SAY THAT EVEN THOUGH SHE WAS MY NINTH GRADE MATH TEACHER, I FINALLY LEARNED TO CALL HER JOANNE AND NOT MRS. GRIFFIN.

SHE WAS ALWAYS REALLY GOOD ABOUT FOLLOWING UP ON CASES THAT HAD COME THROUGH AND WERE WAITING TO COME INTO CONFORMANCE AND SHE WAS REALLY GOOD ON STAYING ON TOP OF THAT.

IT'S AN ASSET WE'RE GOING TO MISS FOR SURE.

THE STAFF REPORT HAD THE INCORRECT ADDRESS ON IT.

THE REQUEST IS, A REQUEST FOR A CERTIFICATE OF APPROPRIATENESS FOR CONSTRUCTION OF A NEW GARAGE.

FIVE PUBLIC NOTICES WERE SENT, ONE RETURNED TO THAT ONE IN FAVOR.

THE APPLICANT IS REQUESTING APPROVAL TO BUILD A NEW REAR GARAGE.

THE GARAGE IS A SIMPLE ONE STORY DESIGN AND LOCATED AT THE REAR OF THE LOT.

THE GARAGE WILL BE ACCESSED FROM AN EXISTING CURB CUT.

THE MATERIALS ARE COMPOSITION ROOFING AND CEMENTITIOUS FIBER BOARD SIDING.

PLEASE NOTE THAT ONE STORY GARAGES ARE TYPICALLY REVIEWED ADMINISTRATIVELY.

IN THIS CASE, LANDMARK COMMISSION REVIEW IS REQUIRED DUE TO THE FACT THAT THE GARAGE WILL BE VISIBLE FROM 19TH STREET.

PLEASE NOTE THE DESIGN STANDARDS IN YOUR STAFF REPORT.

CONFORMANCE, STAFF FINDS THE REQUESTS CONFORMS TO THE DESIGN STANDARDS FOR HISTORIC PROPERTIES.

THE GARAGE DESIGN IS SIMPLE AND WILL NOT DETRACT FROM THE SURROUNDING HISTORIC BUILDINGS.

THERE IS AN EXISTING CURB CUT THAT WILL BE UTILIZED TO ACCESS THE GARAGE, SO NO NEW CURB CUTS ARE NECESSARY.

STAFF RECOMMENDATION.

STAFF IS RECOMMENDING APPROVAL WITH THE FOLLOWING CONDITIONS.

CONDITION 1, THE APPLICANT SHALL CONFORM TO THE DESIGN MATERIALS AND PLACEMENT AS INDICATED AN ATTACHMENT A WITH THE FOLLOWING CLARIFICATION.

THE CEMENTITIOUS FIBER BOARD SHALL BE SMOOTH TEXTURED.

THEN ITEMS 2-6 ARE STANDARD AND WE HAVE SOME PICTURES.

[NOISE] THIS IS THE SUBJECT PROPERTY ALONG AVENUE L. THIS IS THE SUBJECT PROPERTY ALONG 19TH STREET AND THIS IS THE LOCATION OF THE PROPOSED GARAGE.

THEN THE GARAGE PLANS AND YOU CAN SEE IT'S A VERY SIMPLE BUILDING, AND THE SITE PLAN.

IS THERE NOT AN EASEMENT FOR THAT? IS THERE NOT EASEMENT REQUIREMENT?
