THIS IS 1416 BALL AND IT'S A REQUEST FOR A CERTIFICATE OF APPROPRIATENESS FOR ALTERATIONS TO THE STRUCTURE, INCLUDING THE REMOVAL OF ARCHITECTURAL ELEMENTS.

STAFF IS REQUESTING THE ABOVE REFERENCE REQUEST BE DEFERRED UNTIL THE JUNE 7TH MEETING IN ORDER FOR THE APPLICANT TO PROVIDE ADDITIONAL INFORMATION.

THIS IS THE FIRST REQUEST FOR DEFERRAL AND THERE ARE NO COSTS ASSOCIATED WITH THE REQUEST. THE REPORT THAT WAS IN YOUR PACKET ORIGINALLY HAD MAY 3RD AS THE REFERRAL DATE DEFERRAL DATE. THE APPLICANT HAS REQUESTED JUNE 7TH.

THE APPLICANT IS REQUESTING A CERTIFICATE OF APPROPRIATENESS TO INSTALL A STANDING SEAM METAL ROOF. THE CURRENT ROOF SURFACES, COMPOSITION, SHINGLES, EXHIBIT B IN YOUR STAFF REPORT PROVIDED MORE DETAILS ON THE PROPOSED ROOFING MATERIALS.

CONFORMANCE WITH THE STANDARDS STAFF FINDS THE PROPOSED ROOF CONFORMS TO THE DESIGN STANDARDS BASED ON THE PHOTOS SUBMITTED BY THE APPLICANT AND EXHIBIT B.

DESIGN STANDARDS ALLOW FOR METAL ROOFS WHEN APPLIED AND DETAILED IN A MANNER THAT IS COMPATIBLE WITH SURROUNDING STRUCTURES.

STAFF FINDS THAT A STANDING SEAM METAL ROOF WOULD BE AN APPROPRIATE ROOFING MATERIAL AS IT WILL NOT DISTRACT FROM THE ARCHITECTURAL HISTORICAL SIGNIFICANCE OF THE SUBJECT PROPERTY . STAFF RECOMMENDATIONS.

STAFF RECOMMENDS APPROVAL OF CASE 21LC-011 TO INSTALL A STANDING SEAM METAL ROOF WITH THE FOLLOWING CONDITIONS. SPECIFIC CONDITION ONE.

THE APPLICANT SHALL CONFORM TO THE DESIGN MATERIALS AND PLACEMENT SHOWN IN ATTACHMENT A OF THE STAFF REPORT. AND THEN ITEMS 2 THROUGH 6 ARE STANDARD.

SO THAT SHOULD BE INTERESTING.
