PUBLIC HEARINGS Public Hearing On The Proposed City Of Galveston Fiscal Year 2017 Budget As required by Section 102.005(b) of the Texas Local Government Code: This budget will raise more total property taxes than last year’s budget by $2,028,000, which is a 7.22 percent increase over last year's budget, and of that amount $287,700 is tax revenue to be raised from new property added to the tax roll this year.
