A Public Hearing of the City Council of the City of Galveston, Texas, to consider the advisability of the creation of a Public Improvement District within the City to make certain improvements over certain properties located within the boundaries of the City—Bayside at Waterman's.

The following items shall be considered for action as a whole, unless one or more Council Members objects. The City Manager is authorized to execute all necessary documents upon final approval by the City Attorney. A. Consider for approval the purchase of the listed heavy duty street paving equipment from R. B. Everett & Company through Buy Board for a total price of $760,789, which will be funded by a FEMA alternative project, 2001 GO Bonds and the Garages Capital Outlay Account. B. Consider for approval the annual payment totaling $22,900 for the Shah Transportation Manager/Newgen Dispatch Licensing and Support Software, which will be funded by the Island Transit Maintenance Contracts Account. C. Consider for approval the purchase of the listed heavy duty street paving equipment from Rush Truck Center through HGAC Buy for a total price of $166,910, which will be funded by a FEMA alternative project, 2001 GO Bonds and the Garages Capital Outlay Account. D. Consider for approval authorizing the City Manager to sign all associated documents and agreements with the National Parks Service and General Services Administration in order for the City of Galveston to take possession of the former Navy and Marine Corps Reserve Center for the purpose of developing a public park, including accepting the title to the property on behalf of the City. Property is located at 5301 Avenue S, and legally described as M. Menard Survey, Tract 126 (2.221 acres) and Tract 128 (0.410 acres). E. Consider for approval a Resolution of the City Council of the City of Galveston, Texas, approving a Multiple Use Agreement between the City of Galveston and the Texas Department of Transportation for the construction of electrical panels for lift station number 2 in the median of Ferry Road; authorizing the City Manager to execute the agreement and all other necessary documents upon final approval by the City Attorney; directing the City Secretary to send a certified copy of this Resolution to the Texas Department of Transportation; providing for findings of fact and for an effective date. F. Consider for approval the purchase of the listed heavy duty automated refuse trucks from Grande Truck Center through Buy Board for a total price of $1,119,764 which will be funded by a FEMA alternative project, insurance proceeds and the refuse capital outlay account, and authorize the City Manager to execute the contract upon final approval by the City Attorney. G. Consider for the approval allowing the garage to purchase one 2015 Hino litter truck and associated equipment from Rush Truck Center through HGAC Buy for the Refuse Division for a total price of $179,624 which will be funded from the sanitation vehicle capital outlay account, and authorize the City Manager to execute the contract upon final approval by the City Attorney.
