Consider for approval an Ordinance authorizing the issuance of City of Galveston, Texas, Tax and Revenue Emergency Anticipation Note, Series 2014-E; prescribing the terms and form thereof; providing for the payment of principal and interest thereon; approving and authorizing the execution of a Purchase Agreement and other agreements related to the issuance and delivery of such note; and making other findings and provisions relating to such note and matters incident thereto.
Consider for approval a Resolution of the City Council of the City of Galveston, Texas, establishing certain special events as serving public purposes; authorizing the City Manager to execute the standard form agreement from the Texas Department of Transportation (“TxDOT”) for temporary closure of state right-of-ways for each event along with all other necessary documents upon final approval by the City Attorney; providing for findings of fact and providing for an effective date.
A. Consider for approval an annual lease with Enterprise Leasing for three (3) vehicles to be used by Vice and Narcotics Division of the Galveston Police Department for Fiscal Year 2014. The total cost for the vehicles is $19,512.00 and is available in the Vehicle Rental line item in the Police Department. Authorizing the City Manager to execute all necessary documents upon final approval by the City Attorney. C. Consider for approval the purchase of hardware and software to upgrade the City’s server backup system and to authorize the City Manager to execute all paperwork associated with this purchase upon final Legal approval for a Total of: $90,431.06 from the Technology Services Data Processing Equipment account. Comprised of acceptance of lowest bid from SCW for $26,728.80 and acceptance of state contract with Dell for $63,702.26. D. Consider for approval a list of pre-qualified Consulting Engineers for Engineering Designs Service for City of Galveston Capital Improvement Projects. (RFQ #13-14-001).
