""In General," Section 32-5 "Placement of items within the City right-of-way," (Planning case 12PA-45); making various findings and provisions related to the subject, providing for a penalty and for an effective date. B. Consider for approval an Ordinance of the City of Galveston, Texas, amending "The City of Galveston Zoning Standards of 1991. as amended," "Article II, Division V: Special Use Regulations," "Section 29¬82: Sign Regulations." Section 29-99: Broadway Overlay Zone." and "Section 29-105: Gateway Development Zone," regarding A-Frame signs (Planning case 12ZA-06); making various findings and provisions related to the subject, providing for a penalty and for an effective date.
Consider for approval a Resolution of the City Council of the City of Galveston, Texas, approving the nomination of and submittal of a request to the Texas Department of Transportation for Transportation Enhancement Funding to support the Broadway Tree Replanting Project, and authorizing the City Manager to submit all required documentation in accordance with the project submittal guidelines.
Consider for approval a Resolution of the City Council of the City of Galveston, Texas, approving the nomination of, and submittal, of a request to the Texas Department of Transportation for Transportation Enhancement Funding to support the Harborside-Port Beautification Project, and authorizing the City Manager to submit all required documentation in accordance with project submittal guidelines.
Consider for approval a Resolution of the City Council of the City of Galveston, Texas, authorizing the City Manager to submit documentation of eminent domain authority in Texas to the Texas Comptroller, such documentation will detail the City's legal authority to exercise eminent domain in compliance with Senate Bill 18; providing for findings of fact and providing for an effective date.
Discuss and consider for action obligating $250,000.00 for advancement of the feasibility and development of an "Ike Dike", which is proposed to be funded from the Economic Development portion of the 4B Sales Tax proceeds.
Discuss and consider for action obligating S200.000.00 for the replanting of trees in the Broadway Boulevard esplanade, which is proposed to be funded from the Infrastructure portion of the 4B Sales Tax proceeds, subject to approval from the Texas Department of Transportation's 2012 Transportation Enhancement Program.
Discuss and consider for action approving an Interlocal Agreement between the City of Galveston, the Park Board of Trustees, and Seascape Owners' Association, Inc. for beach nourishment and authorizing the City Manager to execute all necessary documents upon final approval by the City Attorney.
