Consider for approval of the City of Galveston, Texas, amending Ordinance No. 11-071, the 2011 Comprehensive Plan for the City of Galveston by adopting the 2012 Thoroughfare Plan for the City of Galveston, Repealing earlier Thoroughfare Plans or Amendments for the City of Galveston, and making various findings and provisions related to the subject.
Consider for approval a Resolution of the City Council of the City of Galveston, Texas, supporting the Galveston County Transit District (GCTD) to formally submit, on behalf of the City of Galveston, requests to the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) for discretionary rural transit funding to support the acquisition of replacement transit equipment and ADA access master planning funds; authorizing the City Manager to submit a direct request to TxDOT for intercity bus funding, if relevant, to support connectivity between the City of Galveston, Houston, and other destinations; authorizing the City Manager to provide all information, data, and documentation necessary to respond to the TxDOT call for projects; providing findings of facts and providing for an effective date.
